Where it came from
Lamiarivoluzione was released in 2002 by the Italian singer-songwriter Marco Parente under the Mescal label. The album emerged during a period of significant creative transition for Parente, marking a shift toward a more introspective and experimental soundscape that blended traditional Italian cantautorato with alternative rock sensibilities. It serves as a pivotal entry in his discography, documenting his pursuit of a distinct musical identity following his departure from earlier collaborative projects.
The album reflects a meticulous approach to production, characterized by layered instrumentation and poetic lyricism that invites close listening. Parente’s work on this project was received by critics as a mature development of his craft, gaining appreciation for its emotional depth and thematic ambition. While it occupies a niche space within the Italian independent music scene, the record remains highly regarded by collectors of early 2000s Mediterranean alternative music for its stylistic integrity and artistic focus.
