Le Prix Du Succès • Jimmy Rivière (Bandes Originales Des Films)

Released in 2017 by Music Box Records, this compilation pairs the original film scores for the French dramas Jimmy Rivière (2011) and Le Prix du Succès (2017). Both films explore intense, character-driven narratives, and the music reflects the moody, atmospheric tension essential to these cinematic stories. The release serves as a showcase for the versatility of the French composer Rob, who has become a staple of contemporary European film scoring.

The album highlights Rob’s signature minimalist and electronic-influenced style, which focuses on building psychological depth rather than traditional orchestral swells. His work on these soundtracks was praised for its ability to underscore the gritty, realistic nature of the films, helping to establish a distinct sonic identity for each project. Music Box Records curated this release to archive the composer’s contributions to independent French cinema, ensuring these scores remained accessible to soundtrack enthusiasts.
