Where it came from
The 'Legendy Polskiej Sceny Muzycznej' series was curated by the Agencja Artystyczna MTJ to revisit and preserve pivotal recordings from the Polish rock and alternative movements. This specific release compiles the seminal 1984 debut album by Klaus Mitffoch, the band led by Lech Janerka, which is widely considered one of the most important records in Polish music history for its unique blend of post-punk energy, intelligent lyrics, and unconventional song structures.
The album was originally conceived during a period of intense artistic experimentation in Wrocław, spearheaded by bassist and vocalist Lech Janerka. The design and sound captured a distinctly moody, acerbic aesthetic that resonated with a generation navigating the social and political complexities of 1980s Poland. Upon its initial release, the music was hailed for its lyrical sophistication and instrumental originality, and this 2019 reissue continues to serve as an archival document for new listeners discovering Janerka's formative contributions to rock music.
