Obwohl...

Obwohl... was released in 2010 by the German comedian and musician Rüdiger Hoffmann as a continuation of his distinctive style of observational humor. Hoffmann, known for his slow-paced delivery and his signature keyboard accompaniment, crafted this project during a period where he had firmly established himself as a fixture of the German cabaret scene. The album serves as a culmination of his ongoing comedic narratives, reflecting his ability to blend droll, everyday anecdotes with minimalist musical interludes that underscore his deadpan performance art.

The album was produced under the Edel:Motion label, fitting into Hoffmann's long-standing discography of live performance recordings. The design and presentation prioritize his recognizable public persona, focusing on the intimate relationship between the performer and his audience. Critics and fans of the German stand-up tradition generally received the work as a consistent entry in his catalog, appreciating his steadfast commitment to a comedic timing that eschews frantic pacing in favor of deliberate, rhythmic storytelling.
