Where it came from
Out Of The Blue was released in 2018 by the Jolly Jackers, a band known for their blend of folk-punk and high-energy traditional Irish music. Emerging from the vibrant independent scene, the album was produced under the Tom-Tom Records label to capture the visceral, raucous atmosphere typical of the band's live performances.
The album's design and artistic direction focus on themes of spontaneity and maritime folk culture, reflecting the band's penchant for fast-paced, storytelling-driven compositions. Upon its release, the record was well-received within the European folk-punk circuit, praised by critics for maintaining the band's signature instrumentation while refining their production quality.
