Outta Live Again (Vancouver 1979)

Outta Live Again is a bootleg CD release documenting a Van Halen concert recorded at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver on December 12, 1979. This recording captures the band during the tour for their second studio album, Van Halen II, a period marked by the group's meteoric rise in popularity and their established reputation as one of the most energetic live acts in rock history. The audio is sourced from a soundboard or high-quality audience tape, providing a snapshot of the raw intensity and instrumental prowess that defined the David Lee Roth era.

The album was released in 2012 by the label Shades, an entity known within the underground bootleg community for compiling rare or uncirculated live recordings of iconic rock bands. The design follows the aesthetic common to professional-grade bootlegs of that decade, utilizing archival photography and minimalist graphic treatments to emphasize the historical nature of the audio. While such releases exist outside official distribution channels, they are frequently discussed by collectors for their historical documentation of setlists and stage banter that would otherwise be lost to time.
