Adventure Comics #331

Published in April 1965, Adventure Comics #331 is a significant entry in the Silver Age of comic books, featuring the Legion of Super-Heroes. During this era, DC Comics was expanding the role of the Legion, which had originated as a backup feature, into the primary focus of the title. This issue reflects the imaginative, science-fiction-heavy storytelling pioneered by writers like Edmond Hamilton and artists such as John Forte, who defined the visual identity of the 30th-century team during their mid-1960s tenure.

The issue is noted for its cover art by Curt Swan, a definitive artist for the Superman family of titles. The narrative arc, which included the 'Trial of Star Boy,' was typical of the period's focus on interpersonal drama and complex morality within the superhero team structure. While the Legion stories of this era were aimed primarily at a younger audience, they were critically regarded for their ambitious world-building and character consistency, cementing Adventure Comics as a cornerstone of DC's cosmic mythology.
