Adventure Comics #337

Adventure Comics #337, published in October 1965, arrived during a transformative era for DC Comics' Legion of Super-Heroes. By the mid-1960s, the Legion had evolved from a backup feature into the primary draw for the title, and this specific issue is notable for its exploration of the team's internal dynamics and the escalating stakes of their futuristic setting.

The issue features artwork by Curt Swan, the definitive artist of the era whose clean, grounded aesthetic provided a necessary balance to the imaginative and often chaotic world of the 30th century. Written by Edmond Hamilton, the story reflects the mid-century science fiction sensibilities that defined the Silver Age, blending high-concept space adventure with the evolving characterizations that maintained the series' popularity among adolescent readers of the time.
