All-New Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #7

All-New Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #7, published by Marvel Comics in 2019, arrived during a period of re-branding for the character Gwen Stacy, who had become a pop culture phenomenon following her introduction in the Spider-Verse storyline. Following the conclusion of the initial Spider-Gwen volumes, this series sought to transition the protagonist into a new chapter of her life as she navigated her identity as both a superhero and a student at Empire University, balancing multiversal threats with personal growth.

The issue features creative work from writer Seanan McGuire and artist Takeshi Miyazawa, who were tasked with grounding the character’s high-concept multiversal travels in localized, character-driven narratives. This issue was received as part of a run that prioritized Gwen's emotional journey and her evolving relationship with her powers. The visual design remains consistent with the iconic aesthetic established by Robbi Rodriguez, utilizing a distinct color palette that set the series apart from the traditional primary-colored tones of mainstream Spider-Man titles.
