All-New Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #9

The Ghost-Spider series was launched as part of Marvel Comics' expanded initiative to explore the Gwen Stacy character from Earth-65, following the immense popularity of her debut in the Spider-Verse event. This particular issue, part of the All-New Spider-Gwen run, continues the narrative of Gwen Stacy balancing her life as a superheroine and a musician, reflecting the creative team's intent to blend coming-of-age drama with traditional superhero tropes.

The visual identity of this series leans heavily into the distinct color palette and modern design aesthetics established during Gwen's initial run, often utilizing bold, contrasting hues of white, black, and magenta. The series was designed to appeal to both long-time Marvel readers and a newer, younger demographic that resonated with the character’s indie-rock aesthetic and urban environment. Critical reception has largely focused on the series' character-driven storytelling and the enduring appeal of the character's unique costume design.
