Boule & Bill #30

Boule & Bill, a cornerstone of Franco-Belgian comics, was created by Jean Roba in 1959 for the weekly magazine Spirou. The series centers on the endearing antics of a young boy named Boule and his exuberant cocker spaniel, Bill, exploring themes of friendship and domestic life. The series is celebrated for its gentle humor and Roba's expressive, dynamic illustration style, which helped it become one of the most beloved strips in European comic history.

The 30th volume in the series, titled 'À la bonne franquette', was published in 2005. Following Jean Roba's retirement, the series transitioned to new creative hands, with Laurent Verron taking over the drawing duties to ensure the legacy of the characters remained consistent. This particular volume maintains the classic spirit of the duo while reflecting the refined, clean aesthetic that defines the later era of the franchise, continuing the lighthearted tradition established nearly five decades prior.
