Boule et Bill - La collection Roba #14

La collection Roba was launched as a definitive retrospective series dedicated to the work of Jean Roba, the Belgian cartoonist best known for his long-running comic strip Boule et Bill. The collection was designed to compile the original gag-based adventures of the titular cocker spaniel and his young companion into a structured, chronologically organized format. This specific volume serves as a continuation of the series' commitment to preserving Roba's legacy and his distinct, expressive visual style that defined the Franco-Belgian comics scene for decades.

The creative intent behind the series was to showcase Roba's evolution as an illustrator and storyteller, highlighting his ability to capture domestic warmth and humorous slice-of-life dynamics. As the series progressed, the volumes became a staple for both longtime fans and new readers seeking to experience the humor that originated in the pages of Spirou magazine. The editorial approach emphasizes archival quality, presenting the classic gags in a format that honors the artist's original vision and enduring influence on the humorous comic genre.
