Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chūya, Jūgo-Sai #2

Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chūya, Jūgo-Sai, or Fifteen, is a manga adaptation of the light novel series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Shirō Hoshino. This specific storyline serves as a prequel to the main Bungo Stray Dogs narrative, chronicling the formative and often volatile early association between Osamu Dazai and Chūya Nakahara. The second volume continues the exploration of their encounter within the criminal underworld, specifically their induction into the Port Mafia as teenagers.

The series is celebrated for its expansion of character lore, providing essential context to the complex dynamic that defines the series' later installments. Hoshino's art style adheres to the high-energy, stylistic aesthetic established by the original manga, effectively capturing the dramatic tension between the protagonists. Upon its release, it was well received by the established fan base for its ability to balance intense action sequences with deep psychological character development, solidifying its place as a cornerstone of the broader Bungo Stray Dogs universe.
