Captain America #211

Captain America issue 211 was published by Marvel Comics in July 1977. At this time, the series was navigating the post-Watergate era of American politics, a period that significantly influenced the tone of Steve Rogers' adventures as the character grappled with his identity as a symbol for a nation in transition. This specific issue is part of a storied run that often explored themes of social commentary and moral ambiguity.

The issue features cover art by Jack Kirby, whose bold, kinetic style helped define the visual language of the Marvel Universe. During this return to Marvel in the mid-1970s, Kirby wrote and illustrated the title, aiming to inject his signature bombast and imaginative flair into the character he helped co-create. The work was received as a nostalgic yet fresh chapter in the character's long-running history, showcasing Kirby's enduring influence on the medium.
