Cat-Life Balance #2

Cat-Life Balance #2 emerged as part of a niche indie comic series that gained a quiet following for its minimalist approach to anthropomorphic storytelling. Created by independent illustrators during the mid-2010s zine boom, the series was designed to explore the mundane, meditative aspects of feline existence through a lens of modern domestic life. The aesthetic focuses on clean, expressive line work and a subdued color palette, intentionally contrasting with the more chaotic, action-heavy comics prevalent in the mainstream market at the time.

The second issue continued the series' signature episodic format, prioritizing atmospheric vignettes over traditional narrative arcs. It was received by the small-press community as a thoughtful exercise in visual pacing and character study. By stripping away complex plot lines in favor of domestic observations, the creators sought to capture a specific mood of quiet companionship. The work remains a representative example of the era's appreciation for low-stakes, slice-of-life illustration within the independent publishing scene.
