Civil War: Unmasked #4

Civil War: Unmasked #4 serves as a concluding chronicle to the 2006-2007 Marvel Comics crossover event, Civil War. Following the culmination of the conflict between superhero factions led by Iron Man and Captain America, this issue functions as a post-script, documenting the political and social aftermath of the Superhuman Registration Act. It provides a narrative bridge, detailing the immediate institutional changes within the Marvel Universe and the lasting consequences of the heroes' fractured alliance.

The editorial team at Marvel, spearheaded by editor Tom Brevoort, designed this issue to synthesize the sprawling plot threads left in the wake of the main event. While the interior art maintains the house style characteristic of the mid-2000s Marvel aesthetic, the issue is primarily noted for its role in establishing the status quo that would dictate the publication direction for the next several years. It was received by readers as a necessary epilogue, intended to ground the high-concept political drama of the event into actionable lore for subsequent storylines.
