Colección Genios del Humor #1

Colección Genios del Humor was launched in Argentina by Editorial Abril during the mid-20th century, a period when the country experienced a golden age of comic and satirical literature. This specific issue served as the inaugural volume of a series intended to preserve and distribute the works of legendary humorists and cartoonists who had defined the local cultural landscape. It was curated to provide readers with an accessible, high-quality compilation of strips and vignettes that had previously appeared in diverse periodicals.

The design of the collection focused on readability and archival utility, featuring a clean layout that prioritized the visual clarity of the original illustrations. While the series featured various prominent contributors throughout its run, the inaugural issue set the tone for the editorial commitment to showcasing artistic virtuosity and narrative wit. It was well-received by the public, finding a steady audience among readers who sought to consolidate the often-ephemeral weekly newspaper and magazine content into a durable format.
