Colección Genios del Humor #7

Colección Genios del Humor was a landmark publishing initiative released in the late 1990s by Editorial Clarín. Its primary purpose was to curate and distribute the essential work of the most influential comic strip artists in Argentina, making high-quality, long-form humor collections accessible to a broad readership. This series served as an educational and cultural bridge, solidifying the status of national humorists as foundational pillars of Argentine literary heritage.

Issue number seven in this series is dedicated to Inodoro Pereyra, the iconic gaucho character created by the legendary Roberto Fontanarrosa. The collection aimed to compile the best narrative arcs of the character, whose dry wit and philosophical exchanges with his dog, Mendieta, provided a satirical look at rural life and national identity. The design followed a consistent, minimalist aesthetic common to the series, focusing on crisp black-and-white ink reproductions that honored the original style of the illustrations.
