Where it came from
The Colección Miguelanxo Prado, published in Spain during the 1990s, was designed as a definitive anthology series to showcase the diverse bibliography of the acclaimed Galician illustrator and comic creator Miguelanxo Prado. This issue represents a significant period in Prado's career, during which he gained international acclaim for his masterful use of color, cinematic narrative structures, and surrealist themes that pushed the boundaries of the European graphic novel format.
Issue number 11 reflects Prado’s distinctive visual style, characterized by highly detailed rendering and a sophisticated approach to human expression. Produced during a time when his works like 'Ardalén' and 'Trazo de Tiza' were cementing his status as a master of the medium, this collection was curated to provide a cohesive retrospective of his shorter works and illustrative projects. It was well-received by critics for its editorial quality and remains a sought-after entry for those studying the evolution of modern Iberian comics.
