Colección Miguelanxo Prado #16

The Colección Miguelanxo Prado, published by Norma Editorial in the late 1990s and early 2000s, was designed as a definitive retrospective series to showcase the extensive graphic novel bibliography of the renowned Spanish illustrator. Issue number 16 corresponds to the volume 'Trazo de tiza' (Chalk Lines), widely regarded as one of Prado's masterpieces. The collection sought to bring his atmospheric, painterly style and introspective narrative themes to a broader international audience by cataloging his works in a cohesive, uniform format.

The design of the collection emphasizes the artistic quality of Prado’s linework, utilizing high-quality paper and printing processes to preserve the delicate watercolors and nuanced shadows characteristic of his style. 'Trazo de tiza' specifically, which centers on a haunting, lyrical story set on a remote island, was crafted as a sophisticated psychological exploration. Upon its release, the work received critical acclaim for its innovative visual storytelling and remains a touchstone of European contemporary comics, frequently cited for its influence on the medium's artistic evolution.
