Did You Hear About Mimi Green #3

Did You Hear About Mimi Green is an underground comic series created by Joe Sacco, first published in the late 1980s. Emerging from the independent comics scene, the series focused on the misadventures and social observations surrounding the titular character, Mimi Green, reflecting Sacco's early interest in character-driven narratives before he pivoted toward his renowned work in comics journalism.

The design and illustrative style of this series are rooted in the gritty, expressive aesthetic common to late-twentieth-century alternative comics. Sacco utilized a jagged, energetic line work that prioritized emotional resonance and observational humor over polished realism. While this specific issue remains a relatively niche entry in his bibliography, it is often studied by fans of his career as a window into his stylistic development and his early attempts at exploring complex social dynamics through a humorous, serialized lens.
