Die 1000 Gesichter von Jack the Ripper #1

Die 1000 Gesichter von Jack the Ripper #1 was published in Germany during the 1960s as part of a trend of sensationalist pulp crime fiction. These small-format booklets drew heavily from the macabre fascination with the Victorian-era serial killer, framing the mystery within a serialized, often lurid narrative style characteristic of the era's popular suspense literature.

The design and illustration of these issues prioritized high-contrast, dramatic cover art intended to catch the eyes of newsstand patrons. While the authorship of many individual installments remained anonymous or credited to house pseudonyms, the series relied on a formulaic approach to gothic horror and investigative thrillers that reflected the mid-century European appetite for serialized crime stories.
