Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft #425

Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft, often referred to as the DDSH, is a long-running German comic series published by Ehapa. First launched in the mid-1960s, the series was designed to showcase high-quality Disney comics that went beyond the standard weekly Mickey Mouse magazine format, often featuring longer, more intricate adventures by legendary creators like Carl Barks and Don Rosa. The series has become a cornerstone of German comic culture, prized by collectors for its consistent editorial focus on the duck universe.

Issue number 425 fits into the mid-2000s era of the publication, a period when the series maintained its reputation for curating classic reprints alongside contemporary international stories. The design aesthetic follows the established tradition of the Sonderheft line, utilizing clean, vibrant layouts that prioritize the readability of the classic Barksian style. It was received by readers as a reliable, high-quality anthology that served both as an entry point for new fans and a repository of essential stories for long-term enthusiasts of Duckburg lore.
