Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft #92

Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft, often abbreviated as DDSH, represents a cornerstone of German Disney comic publishing. Launched by Ehapa Verlag in 1965, the series was designed to provide a dedicated home for long-form adventures featuring Donald Duck and the inhabitants of Duckburg, often highlighting the work of acclaimed creators like Carl Barks. Issue #92, published in the mid-1980s, continues this tradition by curating stories that emphasize the slapstick humor and adventurous spirit characteristic of the classic Disney comic era.

The design and editorial direction of this series were heavily influenced by the high standards of European comic book presentation, prioritizing archival-quality storytelling and vibrant, faithful color printing. The series was exceptionally well-received by the German public, eventually becoming one of the longest-running and most successful Disney comic titles in the country. By focusing on the narrative depth of Barks and his successors, the Sonderheft series helped establish a loyal fan base that viewed Donald Duck not just as a character, but as a central figure in a sophisticated literary tradition.
