Dragon Ball Chāo: Qīlóngzhū Chāo #16

Dragon Ball Super, known in Japan as Dragon Ball Chō, represents the official continuation of Akira Toriyama's legendary manga series, picking up after the defeat of Majin Buu. Issue 16 marks a pivotal point in the serialized run, as the series explores the multiverse narrative established in the early chapters of the Super arc. This installment was produced under the editorial guidance of V-Jump, the magazine where Toyotarou, handpicked by Toriyama, illustrates the monthly chapters based on the creator's original story outlines.

The design and aesthetic of this issue align with the established modern Dragon Ball style, focusing on high-octane combat and the expansion of the lore surrounding Gods of Destruction and parallel universes. Toyotarou's art style is noted for its faithful adherence to Toriyama's character anatomy while incorporating dynamic action sequences that have come to define the Super era. The issue was received by the long-standing fanbase as a critical component in the transition toward the more complex power scales and interdimensional conflicts that define the current iteration of the franchise.
