Dragon Ball Chāo: Qīlóngzhū Chāo #19

Dragon Ball Super, known in certain contexts by the phonetic title Qīlóngzhū Chāo, serves as the direct sequel to the iconic Dragon Ball Z series. Issue #19 belongs to the ongoing serialization of the manga, which began in 2015 following the conclusion of the original run. This chapter continues the narrative expansion of the franchise, overseen by creator Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou, who was personally selected by Toriyama to carry on the artistic legacy of the series.

The design and narrative tone of this issue reflect the evolution of the Shonen Jump style, balancing intense martial arts action with the expanded cosmological lore introduced in the Super era. Toyotarou's illustration process has been widely noted for its close adherence to Toriyama’s original character designs while introducing more fluid, dynamic panel layouts suited for modern serialized manga. Upon release, the series has remained a consistent fixture in Japanese pop culture, serving as a cornerstone of the global Dragon Ball media franchise.
