ElfQuest: Blood of Ten Chiefs #17

ElfQuest: Blood of Ten Chiefs #17 was published in 1993 as part of a spin-off anthology series that explored the deep history of the World of Two Moons. Created by Wendy and Richard Pini, the ElfQuest universe began in 1978 and became a landmark independent comic book series. This specific title focused on the era of the blood-oath and the migration of the tribes, providing narrative depth to the established lore that fans had been following for over a decade.

The series was produced during a period of expansion for the Warp Graphics imprint, which allowed for collaborative storytelling within the expansive fantasy world the Pinis constructed. While Wendy Pini remained the creative architect, the anthology format featured a variety of writers and artists. This issue, like others in the run, was designed to maintain the aesthetic consistency of the core ElfQuest visual identity while offering different perspectives on the survival of the Wolfriders against their diverse threats.
