FemForce #139

FemForce #139, published by AC Comics, continues the long-running legacy of the series which debuted in the mid-1980s. The comic is centered on a team of super-powered women in a universe heavily influenced by the Golden Age of comics, specifically the pulp adventure and superhero aesthetics of the 1940s. Created by Bill Black, the series was designed as a nostalgic tribute to the comic book style of that era, focusing on strong, heroic archetypes while maintaining a consistent continuity within the AC Comics multiverse.

This particular issue follows the established editorial vision of AC Comics, which has maintained its independent, niche status for decades. The art and storytelling are characteristic of the house style, favoring bold character designs and adventurous, often campy, plotlines. The series has garnered a dedicated following among collectors of independent superhero fiction, specifically those who appreciate the aesthetic continuity and world-building efforts maintained by Black and his team over the course of the publication's history.
