FemForce #36

FemForce #36 was published in 1991 by AC Comics, a publisher long defined by its dedication to the Golden Age aesthetic and the revival of classic comic book heroines. Created by Bill Black, the series serves as a meta-textual homage to the glamour and action of 1940s and 1950s comics, featuring a team of powerful women operating in a world that intentionally echoes the stylistic tropes of mid-century pulp fiction.

The art and editorial direction for this issue reflect AC Comics' commitment to independent, niche storytelling, prioritizing the 'good girl art' tradition that defined the publisher's house style. While the series maintains a dedicated following among enthusiasts of retro-styled hero comics, it has historically occupied a space as a cult title, noted by critics and readers for its consistent effort to preserve a specific, bygone era of comic book production despite the changing trends of the early 1990s.
