Gøg og Gokke #21

Gøg og Gokke, the Danish localized title for the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, was published as a comic book series in Denmark starting in the mid-20th century. These issues were part of a long-running cultural effort to bring the slapstick appeal of the duo's films to the printed page, featuring stories that mirrored their classic cinematic dynamic of the mischievous, thin Stan Laurel and the blustering, heavy Oliver Hardy.

The illustrations for these issues were produced by various artists working under the licensing agreements typical of the era, focusing on expressive, caricature-based art styles designed to capture the iconic facial expressions and physical comedy of the original actors. The series was well-received by younger audiences and fans of the films, serving as a staple of Danish kiosk comics for decades before the popularity of such classic cinema-tie-in magazines eventually waned.
