Gøg og Gokke #23

Gøg og Gokke was the long-running Danish comic book series featuring the adventures of Laurel and Hardy, published by Interpresse. The series began in the early 1970s and served as a localized platform for adapting the slapstick chemistry of the famous comedy duo into a printed medium. Issue #23 reflects the standard editorial approach of the era, which combined short, self-contained comedic strips with the visual style of European adventure comics common to the Danish market at that time.

The illustrations and scripts were handled by various European artists commissioned by the publisher to capture the likenesses of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. The series was designed to appeal to both younger readers and nostalgia-driven fans of the original films. It was received as a staple of Danish kiosk culture for decades, valued primarily for its accessibility and the consistent, lighthearted tone that defined the publisher's licensed humor titles throughout the late 20th century.
