Hornsby & Halo #14

Hornsby & Halo was a quintessential example of late-twentieth-century indie comics, emerging from a period where creators were increasingly experimenting with irreverent, genre-bending narratives. Number 14 was produced during the height of the series' cult popularity, a time when independent publishers were defining their own aesthetic outside of the major industry powerhouses.

The visual language of the issue reflects the era's signature blend of gritty urban textures and ethereal, supernatural motifs. The creators sought to balance character-driven humor with the weight of the central existential conflict, a thematic approach that earned the series a dedicated readership among those looking for storytelling that defied traditional comic book conventions of the time.
