I Fantastici Quattro #21

I Fantastici Quattro #21, published in Italy in the late 1960s, represents part of Editoriale Corno's ambitious effort to introduce the Marvel Universe to an Italian audience. During this era, the publisher reformatted American comic books, often splitting stories or rearranging pages to fit the smaller, black-and-white local format, which became a foundational experience for generations of European readers.

The issue features the iconic artwork of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee's foundational storytelling. The design and narrative direction were centered on the high-concept science fiction and domestic drama that defined the Fantastic Four's early years. While the Italian editions were primarily utilitarian in their presentation, they are now highly regarded for their role in establishing the popularity of Marvel characters abroad and for the distinct, localized translation style that became a staple of the period.
