Il Giornalino #v. 84 no. 44

Il Giornalino is a long-standing Italian weekly magazine founded in 1924 by the San Paolo Society. Originally established to provide educational and moral guidance to youth through comics and articles, the publication became a significant fixture in Italian culture. Volume 84, published in 2007, represents the magazine in its mature era, during which it balanced traditional values with contemporary graphic storytelling styles, serving as a bridge between historical Catholic-inspired youth literature and modern comic book trends.

The design and editorial direction during the mid-2000s reflected a commitment to high-quality illustration and long-form serial storytelling. The magazine frequently collaborated with notable Italian illustrators and writers, aiming to foster literacy and curiosity among its adolescent readership. While the publication eventually ceased print operations in 2017, issues from this period remain well-regarded for their archival value in documenting the evolution of the Italian publishing landscape and the specific illustrative aesthetics of the late 2000s.
