It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love #4

It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love (Kao ga ii kara tte aisareru to omou na yo) is a popular boys' love manga series written and illustrated by mangaka Ogeretsu Tanaka. The series, which began serialization in 2017, focuses on complex, often turbulent romantic entanglements characterized by Tanaka's distinctively sharp character designs and emotive storytelling. It emerged during a period when the genre was seeing a shift toward more nuanced, character-driven narratives that explored the anxieties of modern relationships.

Issue number 4 functions as a continuation of the overarching narrative established in the preceding volumes, deepening the interpersonal dynamics between the core cast. Tanaka's design philosophy for this series prioritizes raw, honest expressions and realistic flaws, moving away from idealized archetypes. Upon release, the volume was well-received by fans of the author's work, who praised its ability to balance moments of humor with the heavier, introspective themes that have become a hallmark of Tanaka's contributions to contemporary manga.
