Justice League Task Force #18

Justice League Task Force #18 was published in November 1994 as part of a series designed to highlight a rotating roster of DC Comics characters led by the Martian Manhunter. This specific issue arrived during a transitional period for the title, which often focused on specialized, mission-based storytelling that diverged from the more sprawling narratives of the primary Justice League books.

The issue features cover art and interior work consistent with the series' gritty 1990s aesthetic, characterized by dramatic shadows and high-contrast character designs. While the series struggled to maintain a consistent creative team in its early years, this era was notable for its attempt to integrate the Martian Manhunter into more localized, tactical conflicts, reflecting the broader editorial push at DC to experiment with the format and scope of their ensemble titles.
