Ken il Guerriero: Le Origini del Mito Extreme Edition #1

Ken il Guerriero: Le Origini del Mito, known internationally as Fist of the Blue Sky, serves as the prequel to the classic manga series Fist of the North Star. This Extreme Edition was launched by Star Comics to offer readers a high-quality, larger-format reprint of the series, featuring improved printing standards and supplementary materials that were absent in previous Italian editions. The project was conceived to celebrate the legacy of the original creators, Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, providing a definitive way for modern collectors to engage with the prequel's narrative.

The aesthetic of this edition reflects the gritty, post-apocalyptic sensibilities established by Tetsuo Hara, known for his hyper-muscular character designs and detailed anatomical rendering. The Extreme Edition utilizes thicker, premium paper stock and restored artwork to better showcase the intensity of the fight choreography and the atmospheric backgrounds that define the franchise. Upon its release, it was received as a respectful homage to the original source material, appealing specifically to long-time fans seeking a more durable and visually striking version of the classic manga.
