Ken il Guerriero: Le Origini del Mito Extreme Edition #3

Ken il Guerriero: Le Origini del Mito, known internationally as Fist of the Blue Sky, serves as the prequel to the classic Fist of the North Star series. This Extreme Edition was published by Star Comics in Italy to provide fans with a high-quality, larger-format reprint of the narrative following Kenshiro Kasumi, the 62nd successor of the Hokuto Shinken style, in 1930s Shanghai. The series was created by Tetsuo Hara, with supervision from Buronson, and was originally serialized in Weekly Comic Bunch starting in 2001.

The Extreme Edition format was designed to cater to long-time collectors who desired a premium reading experience, featuring updated paper quality, superior printing, and occasional color pages that were absent in earlier editions. The art style maintains Hara's signature gritty, hyper-masculine aesthetic while refining the layouts to suit the prestige dimensions. Upon its release in Italy, the series was well-received by the dedicated fan base, who appreciated the archival effort made to preserve and enhance the visual impact of the original manga.
