La Zorra y el Cuervo #175

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a beloved Cuban humor magazine that drew its primary inspiration from the classic Aesop fable of the fox and the crow. Published by the Editorial Capitán San Luis, the series became a cultural fixture in Cuba, blending political satire with social commentary through the lens of anthropomorphic animal characters. Issue number 175 represents a continuation of the magazine's long-standing effort to provide accessible, biting wit to a general readership throughout the latter half of the twentieth century.

The visual identity of the series was defined by a distinct caricature style that emphasized expressive character design to deliver punchlines often rooted in everyday Cuban realities. Artists contributing to the series generally aimed for a minimalist, high-contrast aesthetic that ensured the publication remained legible and affordable for wide distribution. While specific editorial credits for individual issues like 175 are often subsumed into the collective output of the magazine’s long-running creative staff, the series is widely regarded for its resilience and its central role in the history of Cuban sequential art.
