La Zorra y el Cuervo #172

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic magazine, established in the late 1960s as a cornerstone of the island's literary and artistic output for children. It featured the titular characters, a fox and a crow, whose dynamic was inspired by Aesop's fables and Jean de La Fontaine, adapted to reflect contemporary Cuban sensibilities. The publication served as a vital vehicle for local illustrators and writers, playing a significant role in the development of the Cuban comic book aesthetic during the mid-to-late 20th century.

Issue number 172 belongs to the publication's later, more established era, characterized by a refined visual style and consistent narrative themes. The design and illustration within these pages typically utilized a vibrant, accessible aesthetic meant to appeal to a broad youth audience while maintaining a distinct cultural identity. Over its long tenure, the magazine was widely received as a staple of Cuban childhood, appreciated for its blend of humor, moral storytelling, and the unique artistic vision of its editorial staff.
