La Zorra y el Cuervo #217

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban humor magazine that drew its primary inspiration from the classic Aesop fable of the fox and the crow. Launched during the mid-20th century, the publication served as a vital platform for Cuban satirical illustrators and writers, focusing on social commentary, political cartoons, and lighthearted entertainment that reflected the evolving cultural landscape of the island.

Issue number 217 represents the established aesthetic of the series, characterized by its reliance on caricature and pithy observational humor. The design approach throughout the magazine's run prioritized accessibility and sharpness, utilizing high-contrast ink work typical of the era's print journalism. While individual contributors shifted over the decades, the magazine maintained a consistent voice that was well-received by a broad domestic readership, eventually becoming an iconic piece of Cuban pop culture history.
