La Zorra y el Cuervo #220

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban humor magazine that began publication in the mid-1960s, serving as a vital outlet for satire and graphic storytelling during a transformative era in Cuban media. As part of a long-running series, issue #220 represents the established visual identity of the publication, which functioned under the editorial guidance of institutions that sought to blend social commentary with lighthearted caricature. The magazine was particularly influential for its use of vibrant, accessible illustration styles to reach a broad domestic audience.

The character designs and layouts within the magazine were frequently collaborative efforts by a stable of talented Cuban graphic artists and cartoonists who utilized bold lines and minimalist palettes to maintain clarity for printing on newsprint. By the time issue #220 was produced, the series had solidified its reputation for utilizing anthropomorphic characters to mirror societal observations. It remains a significant historical document for researchers studying how international fable traditions were adapted into the local cultural vernacular of twentieth-century Cuba.
