L'Amour est dans le Thé #10

L'Amour est dans le Thé #10 is part of a charming series of illustrated booklets that emerged from the vibrant French niche of tea-culture ephemera. Produced during the mid-20th century, these issues were designed to accompany specialty tea blends, blending the domestic comfort of tea consumption with the artistic sensibilities of contemporary graphic illustration. They functioned as both a promotional tool for the tea merchant and a collectible keepsake for the refined home.

The aesthetic of this series draws heavily on the mid-century Parisian illustration style, characterized by delicate line work and a soft, romanticized palette that reflects the whimsical title of the collection. The design focus was centered on evoking a sensory experience, matching the warmth of the tea with visual narratives of affection and leisurely social gatherings. While these booklets were initially mass-produced for a specific consumer demographic, they have since been recontextualized as artifacts of historical graphic design, celebrated by collectors for their preservation of a specific era's social and aesthetic values.
