Länder von Ogon #7

Länder von Ogon is a science-fiction comic series created by the German artist Roger Deichsel. The series emerged in the mid-1980s, reflecting the era's fascination with space opera, intricate world-building, and detailed mechanical design. Issue number 7 is part of a self-published or small-press tradition common in the European independent comics scene of the time, where creators maintained full artistic control over their visionary narratives.

The design of the series is heavily influenced by the European tradition of 'bande dessinée,' characterized by meticulous line work and atmospheric storytelling. Deichsel utilized a distinctive illustrative style that focused on the interaction between human explorers and alien environments. Upon its release, the series garnered a dedicated cult following among genre enthusiasts who appreciated its ambitious scope and unique visual identity, even as it remained a niche work compared to more mainstream publications.
