Lands Unknown: The Skinless Man #2

Lands Unknown: The Skinless Man #2 was published as part of a niche horror-fantasy comic series that emerged during the late twentieth-century wave of independent, creator-driven titles. This era was defined by a surge in dark, atmospheric storytelling that prioritized visceral imagery and experimental narrative structures over the traditional superhero tropes dominant in the mainstream industry at the time.

The visual identity of this series was crafted by artists aiming to evoke a sense of uncanny dread through high-contrast line work and body horror motifs. The design choices were intended to distinguish the title as a more mature, fringe-market offering, leading to a modest but dedicated reception among collectors who favored the macabre aesthetic common to the independent press of that period.
