Where it came from
L'École des Dragons sur la Montagne, or 'The Dragon School on the Mountain,' originated as a niche francophone fantasy series aimed at younger readers. Published to capture the growing interest in magical academy tropes during the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the series sought to blend lighthearted adventure with the traditional lore of dragon-taming.
The first issue was designed to establish a whimsical, illustrative aesthetic, often leaning on European comic-book sensibilities. While it gained a modest following within its specific regional market, the series is largely remembered as a charming representative of the period's fantasy output rather than a widespread mainstream success.
