Lodoss War - Crônicas da Guerra de Lodoss: A Lenda do Cavaleiro #5

Crônicas da Guerra de Lodoss: A Lenda do Cavaleiro is the Brazilian Portuguese publication of the Record of Lodoss War manga series, originally adapted from Ryo Mizuno’s high-fantasy light novels. This specific run was localized and published in Brazil by Conrad Editora during the early 2000s, a period that marked the significant expansion of manga availability in the South American market. The series serves as an entry point into the world of Lodoss, which began as a tabletop role-playing game campaign before evolving into novels and an influential 1990s anime adaptation.

The manga art was illustrated by Akihiro Yamada, whose style is highly regarded for its intricate, painterly detail and gothic sensibility, distancing the manga from the more streamlined aesthetics of contemporary shonen works. The fifth volume continues the chronicle of Parn, the young knight, and his companions as they navigate the political and magical intrigues of the cursed island of Lodoss. The series was well-received by fans of Western-style fantasy who appreciated the mature tone and the classical Tolkien-inspired archetypes layered into the narrative.
