Mandrake: Merlín el Mago #7

Mandrake: Merlín el Mago was a Spanish-language comic series published in the mid-20th century, primarily circulating during the 1960s. This series served as a localized venue for Lee Falk’s iconic character, Mandrake the Magician, adapting the long-running American newspaper strip for Spanish-speaking audiences. The publication provided readers with episodic adventures that blended classic pulp mystery with the fantastical elements inherent to the character's hypnotic and stage-magic capabilities.

The visual design of these issues relied heavily on the established aesthetic of the original newspaper strips, often featuring cover art that emphasized the mysterious, tuxedo-clad persona of Mandrake. These booklets were intended as accessible, serial entertainment, reflecting the global reach of mid-century syndicate comics. Within the context of the European market, these editions were well-received as a staple of the adventure genre, though they are now primarily sought after by collectors interested in the international dissemination of classic comic icons.
