Nichijô - Récits du Quotidien #2

Nichijô - Récits du Quotidien, known in Japan simply as Nichijou, was created by manga artist Keiichi Arawi and first serialized in Monthly Shōnen Ace beginning in 2006. The series is celebrated for its surreal, deadpan humor and highly expressive artistic style, which frequently shifts between detailed character work and chaotic, abstract panels to depict the absurdities hidden within the ordinary school lives of its protagonists.

The French edition, published by Kurokawa, brought Arawi’s unique comedic vision to francophone readers. Volume 2 continues the episodic narrative structure that defines the series, further developing the ensemble cast—including the robot Nano, her creator Professor, and the high-strung schoolgirl Yuuko—as they navigate increasingly bizarre encounters. The design of the release maintains the clean, distinct aesthetic of the original Japanese tankōbon, which garnered critical acclaim for its ability to balance sophisticated comedic timing with a deceptively simple visual presentation.
