Nichijô - Récits du Quotidien, known in English as Nichijou: My Ordinary Life, was authored and illustrated by Keiichi Arawi. This fifth volume is part of a series that began serialization in Monthly Shōnen Ace in 2006, characterized by its unique blend of mundane school life and surreal, high-energy slapstick humor. The narrative style intentionally subverts the expectations of the slice-of-life genre, pushing ordinary scenarios into extreme absurdity.

The aesthetic of the series, particularly as presented in the fifth volume, showcases Arawi’s distinctively clean and minimalist art style, which often contrasts sharply with the frantic energy of the plot.
